In a surprising turn of events, Jose Peseiro has announced his resignation as the Head Coach of the Super Eagles. Peseiro's decision comes shortly after leading Nigeria to the final of the recently concluded AFCON 2023, where they narrowly lost to Ivory Coast.

The 63-year-old Portuguese tactician, whose contract with the NFF has expired, is now a free agent and is considering his options for his next coaching role. Reports suggest that Peseiro has already received offers from several national teams and clubs, including the vacant Algeria job.

Speaking about his future plans, Peseiro stated; "I want to continue coaching, but I need to choose wisely. I have received a lot of offers and contacts, and I will take the time to rest and evaluate each proposal. It's important for me to make the right decision for my future."

The complain of Concerned parent Forum (for School of Nursing and Midwifery in Abia) which was directed to Gov. Alex Otti and copied to security agencies across the state, prompted the investigation which was stalled by Mrs. Nwankego's non-appearance leading to her arrest and detention.
