Abuja, Nigeria – Senator Augustine O. Akobundu, representing Abia Central Senatorial District and the Deputy Chairman of the Senate Committee on National Planning and Economic Affairs, has expressed deep condolences to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency Umo Eno, following the death of his beloved wife, Her Excellency, Pastor Patience Umo Eno.






In an emotional statement released from his office, Senator Akobundu described the news of the First Lady’s passing as a “rude shock,” noting the devastating impact it has had on not only the Governor and his family but also on the entire state of Akwa Ibom.







Senator Akobundu extolled the virtues of the late Pastor Patience Umo Eno, calling her an “extraordinary woman of God” who dedicated her life to the service of humanity. 







He emphasized her role in promoting strong family values, compassion for the needy, and her commitment to God. “The legacy of love and compassion that she demonstrated will live on through you and your family,” the Senator stated in his condolence message.







Acknowledging the difficult time Governor Eno and his family are facing, Senator Akobundu offered prayers for divine strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. He also prayed for the Almighty God to grant eternal rest to the soul of the late First Lady.






“The entire Abia Central Senatorial District mourns with you and your family. Please accept my deepest condolences, sir,” the Senator concluded.









The tragic passing of Pastor Patience Umo Eno has sent waves of grief across Akwa Ibom State, where she was widely respected for her charitable works and commitment to social causes. Her legacy, as noted by Senator Akobundu, is one of profound service to both God and humanity.
