In a thrilling Premier League clash on Saturday, Chelsea secured a 4-2 victory against Brighton, thanks to a remarkable performance from 22-year-old Cole Palmer, who netted four goals in the first half. The high-tempo match at Stamford Bridge saw both teams capitalizing on defensive errors, with goalkeeping mishaps contributing to the frantic nature of the game.




Brighton struck first, with Georginio Rutter opening the scoring in the seventh minute. However, Chelsea quickly turned the tide when Palmer unleashed his scoring prowess, completing an 11-minute hat-trick. The Chelsea forward's brilliance was highlighted by a stunning long-range free kick and a composed penalty finish, punishing Brighton for their defensive gaps.



Brighton managed to reduce the deficit in the 32nd minute after Carlos Baleba took advantage of a second mistake by former Brighton goalkeeper Robert Sanchez. But Palmer wasn’t done yet. He capped off his first-half heroics just before halftime, slotting home a fourth goal following a perfectly timed assist from Jadon Sancho.





Palmer’s dynamism nearly saw him score a fifth, but his shot missed the target with only Brighton keeper Bart Verbruggen to beat. The forward also rattled the post earlier in the game, underscoring his dominant presence on the pitch.

The win propelled Chelsea to third place in the Premier League standings, while Brighton suffered their first defeat of the season.
