The Abia State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has extended warm congratulations to Senator Samuel Anyanwu following his reinstatement and directive to resume office as the National Secretary of the party.

Recall that we had earlier reported the resolution of the party’s National Working Committee to reinstate the National Secretary, following months of controversy despite Senator Anyanwu’s victory at the Supreme Court.

In a statement signed by the State Chairman, Elder Abraham Amah, the Abia state chapter of the party described the development as a welcome and strategic move that reaffirms institutional order and provides a strong anchor for the party’s repositioning at the national level.

According to the statement, Senator Anyanwu’s return to office comes at a defining moment for the PDP, when the need for unity, clarity of leadership, and adherence to constitutional procedures is more critical than ever.

“This decision is both symbolic and strategic,” Elder Amah said. “It comes at a time when our great party must consolidate its structures and forge ahead with a renewed sense of purpose. The reinstatement of Senator Anyanwu signals the restoration of order over orchestrated ambiguity and a recommitment to the values that bind us together.”

The Abia PDP commended the party’s national leadership for upholding the principles of due process and internal democracy, emphasizing that the strength of the PDP lies in its ability to resolve disputes through lawful and transparent means.

The statement also urged members and supporters of the PDP across all geopolitical zones to remain calm, focused, and committed to the collective advancement of the party, stressing that this was not a time for division or sentiment but a moment for solidarity and institutional strength.

Describing Senator Anyanwu as “a tested and trusted leader,” Elder Amah expressed confidence that his return to the National Working Committee would further strengthen the PDP and contribute to its preparedness for future political engagements.

The Abia PDP concluded by expressing hope that this new chapter would usher in greater reconciliation, stability, and strategic focus for the party both in Abia State and nationwide.

“May our great party continue to grow stronger. PDP! Power to the People!” the statement added.
