PDP Releases Revised List of 2025 National Convention Organizing Committee Members | #NwokeukwuMascot

Abuja, Nigeria – The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has unveiled a revised and updated list of members appointed into the 2025 National Convention Organizing Committee (Main Committee), ahead of its highly anticipated Elective National Convention scheduled for Saturday, November 15 to Sunday, November 16, 2025, in Ibadan, Oyo State.




In a statement signed by the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, the party disclosed that the appointments were duly approved by the National Executive Committee (NEC) as part of preparations to ensure a smooth and transparent convention.




The committee will be chaired by Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Governor of Adamawa State, while the PDP Board of Trustees (BoT) Chairman, Senator Adolphus Wabara, was named Co-Chairman. The Secretary of the committee is Barr. Peter Tarsus.




The updated list features an array of prominent political leaders and stakeholders across the country, reflecting the party’s diversity and wide consultations. Notable names include, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, former Governor of Abia State, Sen. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, former Governor of Enugu State and Samuel Ortom, former Governor of Benue State




Other includes, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sen. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, Prof. Adewale Oladipo, former PDP National Secretary, Sen. Bala Mohammed, Governor of Bauchi State and Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, former Minority Leader of the House of Representatives




The 118-member list also includes serving and former ministers, senators, members of the National Assembly, and other influential figures across Nigeria’s political landscape.




According to Ologunagba, the publication of this revised committee list is a clear signal of the PDP’s determination to conduct a credible, transparent, and hitch-free convention, as the party positions itself ahead of the 2027 general elections.




He added that the list of other committees to oversee different aspects of the convention will be published in due course.




The Ibadan convention is expected to be a defining moment for the PDP, as it sets the tone for leadership decisions and political strategies leading up to the next electoral cycle.
