Abia PDP, APC Congratulate Former Governor Ikpeazu on Appointment as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain | #NwokeukwuMascot

The Abia State chapters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) have congratulated former Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, on his appointment as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.



In a statement issued by the Abia PDP State Chairman, Abraham Amah, the party described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Dr. Ikpeazu’s wealth of experience, leadership capacity, and dedication to public service.



The PDP commended President Tinubu for considering the former governor worthy to represent Nigeria on the global stage, noting that the appointment reflects Dr. Ikpeazu’s exemplary statesmanship and longstanding commitment to national development.



According to the party, Dr. Ikpeazu demonstrated visionary leadership during his tenure as governor, championing infrastructural development and implementing policies that positively impacted the lives of Abia residents.



The party expressed confidence that he would bring the same diligence, integrity, and professionalism to his new diplomatic assignment, strengthening Nigeria’s bilateral relations with Spain and advancing the nation’s interests abroad.



The Abia PDP further pledged its full support to the former governor as he begins the new chapter of service to the country, expressing hope that his appointment would inspire leaders across political divides to uphold patriotism and commitment to national service.



Similarly, the Abia State chapter of the APC also congratulated Dr. Ikpeazu on the appointment, describing it as recognition of his contributions to governance and public administration.



In a statement signed by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Uche Aguoru, the APC noted that the new diplomatic role presents another opportunity for the former governor to serve Nigeria and contribute to strengthening diplomatic and economic ties between Nigeria and Spain.



The party expressed optimism that Dr. Ikpeazu would leverage his administrative experience in advancing Nigeria’s foreign policy objectives and promoting mutually beneficial relations with the European nation.



The Abia APC also wished him success in the assignment and prayed for wisdom, strength, and good health as he undertakes the responsibility of representing Nigeria abroad.
