Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu Congratulates Former Abia Governor Ikpeazu on Appointment as Nigerian Ambassador to Spain | #NwokeukwuMascot

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, has congratulated the former Governor of Abia State, His Excellency, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, on his appointment as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain.




In a press release signed by Nwabughiogu, Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Federal Republic of Nigeria, and captioned “Deputy Speaker, Kalu Congratulates Ex-Abia Gov, Ikpeazu on Appointment as Ambassador to Spain,” Kalu expressed confidence in the former governor’s ability to deliver on the new diplomatic assignment.




He said: “Your Excellency, as you embark on this national assignment, I am confident that your diplomatic skills, strategic vision, and leadership abilities will enable you to make a significant impact in strengthening Nigeria–Spain relations.”




Kalu, who represents Bende Federal Constituency of Abia State, highlighted the importance of the ambassadorial role, expressing confidence that Ikpeazu will promote trade and cultural exchanges between Nigeria and Spain.




“Your appointment comes at a time when Nigeria is seeking to deepen its engagement with Spain and the European Union (EU). I have no doubt that you will work hard to promote trade, investment, and cultural exchange between our nations,” he said.




Noting Ikpeazu’s dedication to Nigeria’s progress, the Deputy Speaker wished the former governor success in his new role.




“I wish you wisdom, resilience, and success in this new chapter. Your dedication to Nigeria’s progress and global standing is evident, and I look forward to seeing the positive outcomes of your efforts in strengthening bilateral ties and promoting mutual understanding,” Kalu added.
