The member representing Obingwa West State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly urged APC members and supporters to remain united, steadfast and committed to the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other party candidates across Abia South in 2027.
Represented by the Director-General of the Erondu4Senate Campaign Organisation, Elder Obioma Godwin Nna, Erondu described the movement as a grassroots platform for deepening the APC’s support base across communities, wards and polling units, charging the newly inaugurated executives and coordinators to regard their appointments as a call to service.
The former Chairman of Obingwa Local Government Area implored them to take the message of the APC, as well as the policies and achievements of the Tinubu-led administration, to the grassroots with humility, dedication and commitment.
Erondu said the movement remained resolute in its determination to strengthen the APC in Abia South and would not be distracted by political opponents. He urged members to remain focused and undeterred, expressing optimism that there would be “light at the end of the tunnel.”
The Chairman, House Committee on Public Service Matters, Abia State House of Assembly, also called for unity and collective commitment among party faithful, stressing that victory in 2027 would depend on sustained grassroots engagement and a common resolve to deliver the APC from the State House of Assembly to the Presidency.
The Uhie-born legislator also charged his supporters to remain focused and peaceful, expressing confidence that the mandate freely given to him and the member representing Ukwa East and Ukwa West Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon. Chris Nkwonta, during the APC Abia South direct primaries would be restored through the courts.
In Ukwa East, Chief Okechi Nwaohu emerged as the Local Government Coordinator, while Sir Ogbonna Nnamdi Chikaodika was inaugurated as the Coordinator in Ukwa West.
The two coordinators, in their separate remarks, thanked the leadership of the movement and Erondu for the confidence reposed in them and their teams.
They pledged sustained grassroots mobilisation for President Tinubu, Erondu and other APC candidates, with Chikaodika assuring of efforts to strengthen the movement’s presence across Ukwa West and contribute to the party’s electoral success in 2027.
Meanwhile, former APC Zonal Chairman, Hon. Monday Chikezirim Orji, described the inauguration as a step towards deepening grassroots mobilization and strengthening the party.
Orji said the success of the APC in Abia South would depend on unity, discipline and sustained engagement with the people, urging the newly inaugurated executives to see their appointments as positions of responsibility rather than privilege.
He commended Erondu for his consistency and commitment to the growth of the party and charged members to build a formidable political structure capable of delivering overwhelming support for President Tinubu and other APC candidates.
Also speaking, former Abia State Commissioner for Information, Sir Don Ubani, commended Erondu, whom he described as the founder and sponsor of the movement, for his vision and commitment.
