NNAUSA CONGRATULATES IKPEAZU ON ASSUMPTION OF OFFICE AS NIGERIA’S AMBASSADOR TO SPAIN | #NwokeukwuMascot

The Ngwa National Association USA, Inc. (NNAUSA), has congratulated the former Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, on his official assumption of office as the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Kingdom of Spain.




In a congratulatory message dated Tuesday, September 15, 2026, and signed by the National President and Chief Executive Officer of NNAUSA, Dr. Ugochukwu Agu, and the National Secretary, Dame Chief Ihuoma Q. Uzoije, the association expressed immense pride in the former governor’s diplomatic appointment, describing it as a significant milestone in the history of Ngwa sons who have served Nigeria on the international stage.




The message was issued on behalf of the National President, the National Executive Committee, and the entire membership of the association, which identified itself as the largest organisation of Ngwa people in the Diaspora.




The association stated that the appointment was a source of pride not only to Nigerians and Abians but especially to Ndịngwa, noting that Ambassador Ikpeazu’s elevation to the diplomatic position represents another remarkable milestone in the proud history of Ngwa sons who have represented the country internationally.




“Your elevation to this important diplomatic position represents another remarkable milestone in the proud history of Ngwa sons who have served Nigeria on the international stage,” the association said.




NNAUSA further placed the appointment within the broader tradition of distinguished Ngwa personalities who have represented Nigeria in diplomatic and international assignments, including service as Ambassadors, Permanent Representative to the United Nations, and Minister of Foreign Affairs.




According to the association, Ambassador Ikpeazu’s new assignment adds to that tradition and provides another opportunity for an Ngwa son to contribute to Nigeria’s international engagement.




While celebrating the appointment, NNAUSA encouraged Ambassador Ikpeazu to approach his new responsibilities with integrity, excellence, wisdom, and a strong commitment to strengthening the relationship between Nigeria and Spain.




The association expressed the hope that his tenure would advance Nigeria’s interests, promote meaningful diplomatic and economic cooperation, and bring honour to Ndịngwa, Abia State, and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.





The message also highlighted the importance of the ambassador’s responsibilities in fostering stronger bilateral relations between both countries, with particular emphasis on national interests and economic cooperation.




NNAUSA stated: “As you undertake this important national assignment, we encourage you to discharge your responsibilities with integrity, excellence, wisdom, and an unwavering commitment to strengthening the relationship between Nigeria and Spain.”




The association concluded its message with prayers for divine wisdom, strength, good health, and remarkable success throughout Ambassador Ikpeazu’s tenure.




It also expressed the hope that his service would leave a legacy of diplomatic excellence.
