ABIA: Former D.Gov Ude Okochukwu Set to Join Otti’s Faction of Labour Party, Promised Abia North Senatorial Ticket | #NwokeukwuMascot

News   Umuahia, Nigeria – A former two-term Deputy Governor, Sir Ude Okochukwu, is reportedly on the verge of joining Governor Alex Otti’s faction of the Labour Party, with a promise of clinching the Abia North senatorial ticket in 2027. Okochukwu, a former stalwart of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), is said to have made the move after a failed attempt to seize control of the PDP structure in the zone. His efforts were reportedly rebuffed, especially by the youth who declined to follow his lead after he betrayed them in 2023.. In a controversial move, Okochukwu has constituted five-man coordinators in each Local Government Area of Abia North zone to lure unsuspecting PDP members to join his expedition. The coordinators include Obike Mascot Imo (Bende), Barr. Olughu U. Kalu, a runner-up in the PDP chairmanship contest for Ohafia, Obinna Ekekwe (Isuikwuato), with Fabian Nwankwo and John Okoro for Umunneochi and Arochukwu respectively, both of whom are already members of t...

ADFB $263.8m LOAN: Real Story Behind Abia Government Propaganda by Obinna Oriaku | #NwokeukwuMascot

Opinion   "Never throw stones inside the market, you may not tell whose head it would eventually land." The Governor, as an opposition leader, didn't consider this wise saying when he made frantic efforts to frustrate and kill the ADFB loan. Owing to bad politics, he lost sight of the  humongous infrastructural benefits to the state, instead was determined to thwart what should have become a huge political capital and significant milestone to the previous administration.  My concern today is however the deliberate concealment of critical information, especially the details of the last meeting with Abia Government, Federal Ministry of Finance team and ADFB team, which signalled the official drawdown of this loan. Instead of transparency in coming clean with news about this loan , what we witnessed was an intentional media blackout, with aides spinning misleading narratives. Today, Nairametrics media and Punch Newspapers of 15th July 2025  have  confirmed th...
